Balsamic garlic beans

Balsamic Garlic Beans are a flavourful side dish made with tender cooked beans—often green beans or white beans—sautéed with garlic and finished with a splash of balsamic vinegar. The garlic adds depth and savouriness, while the balsamic provides a tangy-sweet glaze that enhances the natural flavor of the beans. This simple yet bold dish pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or as part of a vegetarian spread.

Ingredients

Ingredients (8 servings):

500g green beans, trimmed

2 garlic cloves, crushed

2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

2 teaspoons olive oil

Instructions

Method:

Cook beans in a saucepan of boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender. Drain.

Place garlic, parsley, vinegar and oil in a screw-top jar. Secure lid. Shake to combine.

Place beans on platter. Pour over garlic mixture.

Serve.
