Cajun mushrooms

Cajun Mushrooms are bold and flavourful mushrooms sautéed with a spicy Cajun seasoning blend, typically featuring paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, thyme, and oregano. Cooked until golden and tender, these mushrooms have a smoky, slightly spicy kick and make a great side dish, taco filling, or topping for burgers, rice, or salads. They're quick to make and full of southern-inspired flavor.

Ingredients

These spicy mushrooms are a delicious side dish to go with grilled chicken or lamb.

Ingredients (serves 4):

1 tablespoon olive oil

500g cup mushrooms, quartered

½ teaspoon dried chilli flakes

2 garlic cloves, crushed

2 teaspoons dried oregano

Pinch ground turmeric

Instructions

Method:

Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add mushroom. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until golden and tender.

Add chili, garlic, oregano and turmeric. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve.
