Cajun mushrooms

These spicy mushrooms are a delicious side dish to go with grilled chicken or lamb.


Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 500g cup mushrooms, quartered
  • ½ teaspoon dried chilli flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Pinch ground turmeric



  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add mushroom. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until golden and tender.
  2. Add chili, garlic, oregano and turmeric. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve.
